We did a lot of scraping, and a lot of painting. The walls. The ceiling. The vanity. The trim. We took down the big, bulky mirror, replaced it with something smaller and installed a new light fixture.
The bedroom had film on the windows to block the light, as well as curtains that sealed in the darkness. Only one wall was papered.
That's Mom, trying to figure out how many seconds it would take her to rip the wallpaper off.
Allie modeling the doors for the closets.
We spent a few hours peeling wallpaper and window film, and another few hours painting the walls, ceiling and trim. What a difference.
The bedroom will get a new face lift this summer. It's been sky blue for almost five years, and I'm ready for a change. We're going with a soft gray, and plan to paint the furniture white and antique it with gray.
